1. Meeting plan for the next two weeks – we only have one shot for a good impression for a lot of people.

structure – will last from about 7-8:30. General section will be very short, 20-30 min.

• krispy kreme – ask for hour (interest sign up), first on Oct. 5. Adam or Aparna contact
• football parking
• regional workshop. Thursday deadline
• banquet (friday Nov. 6)
• open positions – membership coordinator, Kenya/El Salvador secretaries, PR committee, fund-raising coordinators (probably one for each project), project coordinator for el salvador project next year (assistant coordinator this year).
• We will offer an interest list so people don’t have to commit right away and get scared off

We need to make sure people dont get left out awkwardly in the middle if they don’t know what group they want to go to. Scott and others will seek them out, ask them questions about their interests, etc.

We dont want to pressure people to sticking to one group right away.

group meetings also need big introduction and a laid back atmosphere for the first couple meetings to be inviting

each small group may want to consider icebreakers

nametags for board/returning members new people know who to come to with questions

snacks – small things at group breakouts. These will not be reimbursed

We need to stress there will be more chances to travel to new people.

We could offer EWB social events if people are interested

2. Other

Toys for Tots from Lincoln high school has asked us to sponsor them this year. Freshman will have fund-raising connections from high school; we need to take advantage their new ideas/energy

meeting planner – without Carl this year we need someone

We dont need a speaker every week, but something. Maybe technical presentations or workshops from EWB members of faculty would work.

Models of our systems could be built for people to see. PR will look into this

board meetings will be every week to start with, Tuesday at 6 next week. Later they will be every two weeks or as necessary later. Financial planning will be combined with one of the upcoming meetings.
