- Guest Speaker:
- Col. O’Donovan, the officer in charge of the Army Corps of Engineers reconstruction in Afghanistan will be speaking at OSU.
- Next Tuesday, Nov. 24th in Kearney 312 from 2:00-4:00.
- Free Pizza!
- Water Quality workshop:
- This Sunday afternoon in Owen 101 at 2:00 – come learn how to use our water quality testing kit.
- There will be a lecture and lab section of the workshop. El Salvador Project Update
- A tropical storm recently damaged the road to the community.
- Our rotary funding was comfirmed to pay for materials. The rest will be covered by the banquet proceeds
Kenya Project Update
- The Kenya banquet is on February 15th in Portland.
- Save the dates are ready to go.
- Let Aparna know if you can think of anyone to invite.
Upcoming fundraisers:
- Water challenge – participants will only drink water and donate money they would have spent on other drinks.
- We are planing donkey basketball for spring term.
Waterbottles:
- we will wait on ordering waterbottles until after winter break. We will start collecting pre-orders by email. They are stainless steel, $12-15.
Reusable Shopping Bags
- We have 100 EWB reusable shopping bags ordered. They are navy with the EWB logo. If you would like to buy some they will be $5 with all proceeds going to our chapter.
Talk to Yunji if you need to pay membership dues. They are only $15
Talk to Jason if you are interested in working on low cost cookstoves for Haiti.
There will be no meeting next week. The next meeting will be Thursday of dead week in Kelley.
